Fresh Water

"A change is as good as a break"

Sometimes we need to make a big change in order to get a fresh start. Such has been the case for me!

Last week I finally came off a 40 day computer fast. That was a challenge, I assure you. It's hard to imagine how much of a fixed place the computer has taken in my life. It's a good thing to let go of from time to time, though! Amazing how much free time I had each day! I got lots of deep cleaning done both in the house and in my soul. New revelation, amazing experiences, and a fresh start. I feel like a new woman.

Introducing myself

Hi,
My name is Jocasta, I'm from New Zealand but I live in Calgary and am the proud mother to my gorgeous smiley little son Oliver. I'm so happy to have finally joined the wonderful community of WAHMs!! It's taken me a while to find the right fit of business for me and I'm so happy to have finally done so in OnlyGreen. I haven't felt so good, and so passionate, about something in way too long! How could you not get pumped about selling eco-friendly green products, improving people's lives and the state of the planet? I'm just loving the feeling of knowing what I'm doing is so right. I look forward to getting to know you all better and sharing our ups and downs and business ideas!

Thanks,
Jocasta

Ideas on starting a conversation?

I've been having a heck of a time bringing up what I do in a discussion with friends and family. I don't want to sound pushy or annoying.

How does everyone else bring it up in conversations??

I have been losing inches so it is noticeable and I get the odd comment which does bring it up and I go from there.. but it's hard to just bring it up out of the blue.

Any ideas or advice?

My first month of business!

I recently started a new home based business called lia sophia fashion jewellery. After resigning from my previous business for moral and ethical reasons, I really only had one more chance to prove to my husband that home based business can be successful! This is hard to do to a sceptic!
But I started my business at the end of March, and just sat down and looked at what I did in the month of April! I actually shocked my husband! I more than exceeded my expectations, I doubled them! My sales, higher than I have EVER sold before! Recession? What recession? I did just over $5800 in sales in 4 parties! One of my shows had 23 guests! I started 6 new team members personally, and my team has already recruited!
I have to keep at it! I have to show my husband that I can be successful by working from home, because that's what our 3 boys need, is their mom home when they come home from school.
